Over the course of his career, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening underwriting disciplines, improving claims efficiency, and expanding market reach within competitive insurance environments.
He is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA) and holds an Advanced Diploma in International Business Management as well as a Certificate in Strategic Management. His professional background reflects a strong balance of technical insurance capability and executive leadership experience.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Matapuri is focused on driving WestSure Insurance Botswana’s growth through digital transformation, diversification of product offerings, and enhanced operational resilience. He is committed to fostering a high-performance organisational culture while positioning WestSure as a trusted, customer-centric insurer within Botswana’s evolving short-term insurance market.
